Early Giving is now open for the Annual North Texas Giving Day! Held annually, NTX Giving Day falls on September 22 this year as a way for North Texans to give to their favorite charities and nonprofits, all of whom are local and give to our friends, neighbors, and community members. The website for this great event asks North Texans to “Find Your Passion. Give With Purpose,” and links to hundreds of worthy organizations.
The Foundation is proud to be one of this year’s Peer-to-Peer organizations because the NTX Giving Day aligns so closely with our own philosophy. Like us, the personal “why” is fundamental to the Day. As their website puts it, “we each have unique passions and gifts that can help make our communities safe spaces to be well, be happy, and be whole.” The individual reasons we all have for donating are also the gifts that take those donations – of any size, large or small – to create a greater and more effective whole. Here at the Foundation, we work to take those gifts to create our Teacher Requested Grants, focusing the Forney Family’s generosity into much needed classroom supplies that add that extra touch to our students’ experiences in school.
Please visit our NTXGD page at https://www. northtexasgivingday.org/ organization/ForneyEducationFoundation to help us reach our goal, and don’t forget to find your other passions with the many organizations coming together this month. Come join us, and let’s make this the best Giving Day yet!
