Week Two saw Forney faceoff against the Frisco Memorial Warriors. Memorial came into the game 1-0 after winning their season opener the previous week against Garland’s Lakeview Centennial, but Forney was hungry for a win after the close game week one provided in a loss to the Crandall Pirates.

Against the Rabbits, the Warrior Offense was able to capitalize on a pass early in the game for a long touchdown, but it didn’t take long for the Rabbits to really show up to the game and answer with a touchdown of their own. Before the half, Forney tacked on another TD and nearly scored a third as the clock for the second quarter wound down.

In the second half, the Warriors would return a kickoff for a touchdown to stay within arm’s reach. Ultimately, though, the Warriors found little success against the Jackrabbit Defense who consistently kept the Warrior Offense from making much progress on the field.

To answer the Warriors’ third quarter TD, the Rabbits scored another three touchdowns in the second half. The Jackrabbit Offense was able to score on several long touchdown scores, including two touchdowns through the air, one of which was to Wide Receiver Kofi Eduful. Freshman Running Back Javian Osborne and Senior Running Back Jayden Brown were impossible for the Warriors to stop.

Notable performances from the game included Senior Jayden Brown, who had a long touchdown run in the contest. Wide Receiver Kofi Eduful reeled in another long touchdown pass to build off of his big performance in week one. The final score of the game was 34-14 Forney, giving the Rabbits their first win of the season.

The Jackrabbits, now with a 1 and 1 record, seek to build off their first win of the season tomorrow night when they host Mesquite Poteet at City Bank Stadium for their first home game of the year. Kickoff is set for
