Spiritually there are only two roads that people can travel from the start of their lives to the end of their lives.
The low road is wide and smooth and has lots of entertainment on both sides. The slope is just barely there but it takes almost no effort to travel that road. That is the road people are born on and it is natural to travel. The person who does not travel that road is odd by nature and does not fit in with society. That is the road that goes down to Hades to spend eternity.
The narrow road starts on the level of the low road, but slopes upward and has many hazards and rough places along the way. The rough places and tempta-tions are designed to make a person want to leave that road and get on the wide road.
Jesus knew all this when He made the plan to redeem mankind from sin and death. He invites the whole world to come to Him and receive the gift of eternal life. Knowing this, Jesus promised to give the Holy Spirit to all who will come to Him to receive it. The Holy Spirit never leaves that person and is the power to overcome temptation along the narrow road.
BOTTOM LINE: There is “not” a single good thing we can do to receive that gift and go to Heaven. It is a “free” gift from GOD Himself. GOD loves Mankind so much that He is willing to accept the worst person on earth into Heaven to be with Him……………AMEN
