The E! Terrell Entertainment Series continues its 2021-22 concert season with “We’ve Only Just Begun: Carpenters Remembered” starring Michelle Berting Brett at 7:30 pm on March 24th at the Terrell ISD Jamie Foxx Performing Arts Center. This is the seventh E! Terrell performance for this season.
“This is a show we have been working hard to bring to Terrell for several years,” acknowledged E! Terrell volunteer Dana Skelton. “It is, by far, the most authentic version of the celebrated music of the Carpenters, one of the most popular recording acts of all time.”
Michelle Berting Brett and her Nashville band, under the direction of Harry Sharpe, have faithfully re-created the original Carpenters’ iconic sound. “The timbre in her voice is quite remarkable,” added Skelton. “We were very fortunate in booking this national touring show. It is in very high demand across the USA.”
In 2019, the band celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Carpenters’ first album with A&M records as featured artists and the centerpiece of the international convention celebrating the success of the original group and their monumental first album.
T h i s show invites the audience to experience an intimate, behind-the-scenes portrait of the pop music phenomenon that defined an era, and sing along with hits that include “Close to You”, “Yesterday Once More”, “Rainy Days & Mondays”, and many more!
