On Friday, March 11, 2022, at 10:00 AM, the Dallas Police Department hosted an honorary mass swearing-in for Devarjaye “DJ” Daniel. DJ is an amazing 10-year old boy battling terminal cancer. He is using his illness as platform to bring awareness to childhood cancer and to bridge the gap between law enforcement and their communities. His goal is to be sworn-in to as many law enforcement agencies as possible. We were happy to be a part of his special day as he was sworn in as an honorary Police Officer for the Forney Police Department. Det. Michael Clay presented him with a Certificate, Forney Patch and Challenge Coin. We wish him well and thank him for his dedication to raising awareness for childhood cancer.
