Kaufman County East Young Marines accepted the invitation to volunteer for the BONEFROG Navy Seal Obstacle Course Challenge held on March 05, 2022, at COUSINS Paintball of Forney, TX. This amazing 3+ plus mile run with over 20 obstacles was a first for the 6 participating Young Marines. The Young Marines formed a buddy system of 3 teams of two and placed among themselves in this order.
Team One was YM/PVT Aguilar, Elijah and YM/PVT Penney, Anderson
Team Two was YM/LCpl Bracey, Christopher and YM/PFC McDonald, Lawson
Team Three was YM/ PFC Babin, Zayne and YM/ PVT Scott, Noah
The participating KCEYM’s range in age from 9 to 15. This is an extremely tough course; our Young Marines ran with quite a few chiseled adults, often offering words of encouragement and advice, and never gave up.
Young Marine LCpl Bracey, C. led his unit to the close of day, as his unit assisted with the dismantle process. Tired and hungry, the Young Marines left feeling accomplished, encouraged, and inspired, all looking forward to doing it again!
A special thank you to Mr. Scott Sweeney of BONEFROG for the invitation to participate, to our sideline supporters and heroes, and especially our new Border Patrol friends.
