Dear Aunt B,

I feel all we have talked about is the holidays and I am not even fond of the holidays. Now they are over, I’m not that happy either. Is it normal to feel let down after the holidays even if you don’t celebrate the holidays?

I think most everything is normal. I understand your issue because I, like you, don’t ever feel very festive throughout the holidays. I am always ready for the new start that the new year brings. However, it feels like a very odd time of year to me. I am usually a little disappointed in myself at the end of the year. I realize, I tell you guys not to be disappointed and just start anew. Remember do what I say, not what I do.

So let us just start where we are. Trying to figure it out just wastes time. I doubt that there is much figuring things out on this topic. Just acknowledge that you are feeling off. Now what?
