Canaan’s land was the land GOD prepared for the Jews, (GOD’s chosen people). Canaan’s land was a beautiful land flowing with milk and honey. When the spies returned from the land they carried a cluster of grapes that weighed over one hundred pounds. Their report confirmed that the land really did flow with milk and honey. The Jews rebelled and would not enter the land immediately but finally did as recorded in the Bible.
The theory and belief of many is that America is the Promised Land for the Gentiles. First America has many good things that other countries do not have such as rich land, green forests, and an abundance of wealth available to all who will work and be responsible in their living in America. The constitution of America is written by Bible and religious principles. That means that all citizens of America are free to practice their religious preference.
The government is divided into three sections with equal authority so there will never be a dictatorship to rule over the citizens of America. However what happened in Canaan’s land seems to be happening in America. Human greed and lust for power seems to be increasing every day which can destroy the freedom we have enjoyed all our lives. How sad.
BOTTOM LINE: The “war” going on in our minds between good and evil seems to be increasing every day. Surrendering to GOD through Jesus Christ is the only way to win the war………AMEN
