Saturday, December 11, will be the third annual Antlers and Tutus Fun Run benefiting the Forney Education Foundation. There is still time to register for this event if you want to participate. The Foundation thanks our sponsors for underwriting this event– Devonshire Community for Hosting, Smoothie King for Title Sponsorship—and the Event Sponsors Big Jay’s Sign and Shirtworks, Camp Gladiator, Brookshire’s, and Chick-fil-A. These sponsors understand how helpful FEF is to the students in Forney ISD and that fundraisers like the fun run aid in the mission statement of the Foundation, which is to help light the way for teaching and learning.
Adopt-A-Grant is still open through the end of the year! A donation now helps two ways—it aids the Foundation in benefitting students and is a tax write off for the donor as well. The teachers in Forney ISD requested many wonderful grants this year to add to the classroom experiences for their students and, because of the support of the Forney Community in sponsoring and donating to FEF, many of those grants will be funded.
The Grant Train will roll this week through Forney ISD and there will be many, many smiling faces when they receive the news that their grant will be funded, As we always say, it is one of the best two-day events in the District and the Board of Directors is looking forward to it this year again.
