The Kaufman County Clerk’s office, along with the County Court at Law 2 office kicked off the Kaufman Downtown Merchants’ Annual “Peanut Butter and Jolly” food drive by donating 200 jars of peanut butter and jelly.
“This is such a wonderful blessing – we’re excited about adding all this to this year’s food drive,” said Pam Grant, owner of Especially for You Tea Room who was excited to again receive the donation.
The ‘PB&J” drive is a community food drive, where downtown merchants donate a jar of jelly for every jar of peanut butter collected. The donations will be given to the Kaufman Christian Help Center, who will send them out in their food donation boxes over the holiday season.
Pam Grant has been spearheading the food drive for the last six years. Last year, the food drive donated over 250 jars peanut butter and jelly to The Center. The “Peanut Butter and Jolly” drive officially began on November 9 and runs through the December. Jars of peanut butter can be dropped off at The Tea Room, located at 100 W Grove St, in Kaufman.
