Five members of the Angelo State University Rambelles soccer team, including Cassidy Hill of Forney, have earned Lone Star Conference postseason honors that were announced at the LSC Championship Banquet on Nov. 11.

Topping the awards were Avery McNeme of Lubbock being named LSC Midfielder of the Year, and Kira Miller of Frisco being named LSC Goalkeeper of the Year. They were both also named to the All-LSC first team, along with defender Cassidy Hill of Forney. Midfielder Madison Stokes of Amarillo was named to the All-LSC third team, and forward Grace Jordan of Fort Worth was named to the LSC All-Freshman Team. Miller was ASU’s lone representative on the LSC All-Academic Team.

This marks the fourth straight Midfielder of the Year honor for McNeme, who led the Rambelles in scoring with eight goals and nine assists. In goal, Miller posted 13 wins, 10 shutouts and a conferenceleading .709 goals against average. Hill played every minute for ASU this season and led the LSC’s stingiest defense that gave up only 14 goals in 19 games. Stokes chipped in one goal and one assist, and was the crucial bridge between ASU’s defense and attack. Jordon was second in scoring for ASU with five goals and also chipped in two assists.
