I have been reading in the Bible book of Ezekiel about the many idols Israel had made and placed throughout Israel. They worshiped those idols and made sacrifices to them, including their own children. GOD became sick of their worship of the false gods and chose Ezekiel to carry His message to the Children of Israel that He was about to completely destroy Israel and almost all of the people. He saved only a small remnant of those who had not worshiped the idols.
Today: I started thinking about the many idols we have in this country and how we sometimes get attached to them, and often not thinking about what GOD thinks about them. We have football, baseball, basketball, soccer, television, computers, cell phones, fishing, and a hoard of games. We have nudity on television, cell phones, computers, and many other places. The devil will use any or all of those things to draw us away from serving GOD. The devil always starts at our weakest point and will never give up in his effort to dilute our service to GOD.
BOTTOM LINE: I believe GOD longs for His Children to talk to Him and worship Him with a sincere heart and intent. Make no mistake, the devil will never miss a chance to enter into our lives and draw us away from our fellowship with our GOD………….AMEN
