The North Forney Falcons hosted Fort Worth’s Brewer Bears last Friday night at City Bank Stadium. After a frustrating loss against Little Elm the week before, the Falcons were looking forward to a home game in hopes that they could walk away with the win.

The team came out early with a first quarter touchdown, and it looked as though the Falcons were on the right track. After a field goal by the Bears in the second quarter, North Forney ended the half in the lead, 8-3.

When the boys resumed play after halftime, the Falcons had trouble keeping the momentum going. The Bears, on the other hand, came out of the locker room looking to get ahead. Brewer scored 19 points to Forney’s 2 in the third quarter, bringing the score to 22-10 Brewer.

The fourth quarter, which the Falcons hoped would be the scene of their comeback on the night, only saw more points for the Brewer Bears. The Bears scored 13 more points in the final minutes of the game, eliminating North’s chance to get the win this week.

This week 3 match-up was North Forney’s last game before District play begins this week. In week four, the Falcons will sit on the home side of City Bank Stadium while they face one of their most anticipated opponents of the season – the Forney High School Jackrabbits. The game will kick off Friday, September 17, at 7:30 p.m. Make sure to come early to get a good seat as you cheer for your North Forney Falcons.
