On Thursday, August 23, 2021, the Forney Police Department asked for the public’s help in locating a suspect in connection with multiple stolen vehicles and an incident involving injury to a Police Officer. On September 2, 2021, the suspect, 20-year-old Michael Luke Ikennan Au Mon Okwesa of Forney was taken into custody by Denton Police Department on Forney PD warrants. Okwesa is charged with State Jail Felony Unauthorized Use Of A Vehicle, State Jail Felony Evading Arrest, and State Jail Felony Criminal Mischief. Okwesa is being held in the Denton City Jail and will be transported to the Kaufman County Sheriff’s Office for holding and arraignment on his charges.
