The Forney Education Foundation is looking forward to meeting all of the parents that are new to Forney ISD. The Foundation is also excited about all of the new schools that are opening and all of the new staff that has joined the Forney Family for this school year.
Much in the same way that new opportunities arise for people everyday, FEF is very happy to introduce itself to the families that have chosen Forney ISD for their students. Now with more campuses it is imperative that new and returning teachers think about what grant requests they could be making in the next few weeks to the Foundation. The public is also a partner in granting these teacher requests since the Adopt-A-Grant program was rolled out a few years ago. The excitement surrounding grant time is palpable as the grants that have been funded in past years have made many fantastic as well as fundamental differences in those students’ lives. From ceramic kilns that open the door to personal art to coffee carts that enable students to learn about running a business and blood pressure and autopsy mannequins that enable high school students to graduate with a career, the Forney Education Foundation has been able with the help of not only Corporate Partners but Teachers, Staff and Parents of FISD students.
