Laymen’s Corner

This column is written by a Christian layman who desires to address issues recorded in the Bible that are hard to understand. This writing is often based on theories and paraphrased, that some people would question, but if this writing helps one person to better understand GOD’S love for mankind and His purpose for them, then the effort will be worth it.

Over ten years ago I had a desire to write this column because many people get discouraged when they find places in the Bible that are hard to understand. I talked to my Pastor about it and he said just do it and see how it turns out. I have been writing a weekly column ever since.

I believe and am sure that GOD’S Paradise He has made for fallen mankind is real and Jesus Christ shed His blood on the Cross to provide a way for all humans to come to Him and receive eternal life. The greatest problem with people is many think they have to be good and keep GOD’S law to be saved. No human is able to keep GOD’S law. Jesus wants people to come to Him as they are and let Him do the cleaning. When a person accepts Jesus as their personal savior the Holy Spirit removes all their past sins, moves in and puts a seal around it. After that the Devil can only tempt them through the mind and the body’s desire. Just remember, you cannot doubt something you never had. We need to stop struggling and trust Jesus Christ to do the cleaning and keeping of our souls.

BOTTOM LINE: We are facing some real problems today and dangers to us and our country. Now is a good time to go to GOD and instead of begging Him to restore our country just pray for His will to be done. I believe He has everything in hand and knows every detail about the things happening today……. AMEN
