Reflections

As sunlight shines on the water, the reflection dances on the ceiling. The constant movement of the reflection says it is windy outside and the movement of treetops visible through the window confirms this fact. Many times we, too, are moved by outside forces; forces we have no control over but impact us nonetheless. Since summer is upon us fully now, the dedicated educational professionals in Forney ISD, and other districts as well, are in the golden part of summertime--not July yet, continuing education classes/seminars still in the future, and school starting back up in August.

Forney ISD is in summertime mode as well. The maintenance department is in process of fixing any mechanical issues that arose on the various campuses in late spring as well as keeping the grounds of all the campuses trimmed and healthy. The administrative staff is busy with all of the tasks that have to be finished by the end of the fiscal year on June 30. The campus administrators are recharging their personal batteries and the teachers are all soaking up the time away from classrooms before beginning again.

And the Forney Education Foundation is reflecting on the last year which was another amazing one. The growth of the Foundation has matched the growth in Forney ISD which would not have been possible without the outstanding support of the Forney Family and the Forney Community. FEF knows that without the teachers and staff and the corporate donors that believe in the Foundation’s mission for the students in Forney ISD, there would not be all the amazing outcomes that have occurred for our students since 2004.

And the next phase of the Forney Education Foundation will continue to be a bright reflection of the dedicated educational professionals that come to the opening of school ready to create bright learning environments for their students.
