At the May 10 Board of Trustees meeting for Forney ISD there were many wonderful people recognized for their contributions to the 2020-2021 school year. They recognized the Elementary and Intermediate Campus Teachers of the Year as well as the Secondary Campus Teachers of the Year. And on Wednesday, May 12, the District honored all of the Forney ISD nurses for their amazing contributions to the health and wellness every single day for our students, staff, and even the community with the COVID vaccines.
These educational professionals and extremely dedicated nurses are an amazing example of the kind of people that work in the Forney Family community. Forney Education Foundation is so very proud to support these awesome members of the Forney ISD Family. FEF knows that the reason that we are successful at helping the teachers, students, and staff is because of the amazing attitude and compassion that is embodied in the ethics of everyone involved in the district. When the Foundation began, the idea was just to help graduating seniors continue their education past high school. Now that FEF has evolved to teacher requested grants along with reimbursements for AP/CTE certifications, the horizon of help has expanded. And because of the fact that Dallas College has made dual credit courses available tuition free, FEF can concentrate on helping teachers and staff to achieve better educational results with innovative ideas and grants.
The amazing educators, students, and staff in Forney are the “why” for Forney Education Foundation. There are so many amazing stories of how FEF has impacted students, teachers and their classrooms.
