Born 12/24/1940 (Yes, he is really 80 years old!) in Brooklyn, New York, and married to wife, Christine, ANTHONY STEPHEN FAUCI is a renowned American immunologist and physician and scientist. He is the Director of the United States National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and “Chief Medical Advisor to the President.”
He has served the American public health sector for more than 50 years in a variety of ways and has been a Presidential Advisor to every U. S. President since Ronald Reagan.
He has been one of the most frequently cited scientists from all across the world in all types of scientific journals, and in 2008, was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his work on the AIDS Relief Program, known as PEPFAR.
Fauci was one of President Trump’s lead members of the White House Coronavirus Task Force, and has been cited by some publications and public figures as one of the “most trusted medical figures” in the U. S.
He is currently the Chief Medical Advisor to President Joe Biden, appointed in 2021.
His Grandparents immigrated to the U. S. from Italy late in the 1800s, and he grew up a Catholic; how ever, he now states that he is a “humanist,” who finds many things unfortunate about “organized” religion!
Fauci attended Regis High School (1958 grad.), a private Jesuit school in Manhattan, and was captain of the basketball team. He then attended the College of the Holy Cross and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in “Classics” on the “pre-med” track. Cornell University Medical College was next, and he came away 1st in his graduating class with a Doctor of Medicine Degree (1966). His internship and residency were in INTERNAL MEDICINE.
I am not going to go into his many awards, the many programs with which he has been involved, and the many accusations against him as being “not what he proclaims.” You can review “news stories” and editorials and talk-show contents and web sites and decide for yourselves. My personal opinion is that he knows “a lot” more than does Don Themer!
