Mayes Media Group, a North Texas-based advertising agency specializing in political communications, is proud to announce it has received two coveted Pollie Awards from the American Association of Political Consultants. The awards are the industry’s highest honor bestowed upon political consultants at the national and international level.

The professionals of Mayes Media Group earned the following Pollie Awards for their work for the Texas First Coalition:

Gold in the Best Use of Direct Mail Category (Regional)

Small Budget Campaign

Silver in the Best Use of Direct Mail Category

Public Affairs/Issue Advocacy Division - Local

Mayes Media Group has earned 11 Pollie Awards, one Reed Award & one Bronze Addy Award over the past five years. The agency also is a finalist for three 2021 Reed Awards, which will be announced in late May.

“We are proud to be recognized among the best advertising agencies in the competitive field of politics and public affairs and appreciate our clients for trusting our agency during the past year,” said Brian Mayes, President of Mayes Media Group. “I am blessed to have a team of creative professionals who look for new and unique ways to help our clients convey their messages in a manner that educates, empowers and energizes the public.”

The Pollie Awards (Pollies) are bipartisan honors awarded annually by the American Association of Political Consultants (AAPC) to members of the political advertising and communications industry who have demonstrated superior work on behalf of their candidates and causes. A blind jury of their professional peers selects AAPC award winners. Esquire Magazine has dubbed the Pollies the “Oscars of political advertising.”

“2020 was the most challenging year in our lifetimes - for our country, our families and our work. Political consultants experimented, innovated and delivered for their clients,” said Rose Kapolczynski, AAPC President. “The record-breaking number of entries demonstrates that competition was tough in an election cycle that saw more money raised for campaigns than ever before. While the work might have been done at the kitchen table, with dogs barking in the background and a video chat that wouldn’t end, consultants made it happen for campaigns at every level. Huge congratulations to all the winners for being recognized for their contributions.”
