The Merry Month of May

There is something magical about the first day of a month being on a Saturday--and May is almost always a magical month!

The growth of new flowers and leaves bring forth the promise of food for the body and flowers for the soul. And after the Gala, Forney Education Foundation is ready to bring forth new ideas to help the teachers and students in Forney ISD for the future.

We would be remiss however if we didn’t thank the sponsors that made this year’s Gala the great success that it was. The Forney Education Foundation formally thanks Gallagher Construction, Luminant, RelyOn Credit Union, Intex Electric, Huckabee Architects, and Perdue Brandon FielderCollins&Mott LLP. We also thank The Slocum Agency, American National Bank of Texas, CoServ Charitable Foundation, and The Eudy Company. Without your help, the Gala would not have been nearly as wonderful as it was. And we thank all of the volunteers, board members, and donors who helped make the event come together. And our Executive Director, Kate Bell-Keierleber, who managed all of the moving parts that are required for an event like this as well as all of the people involved. The preliminary count from the Gala shows that Forney Education Foundation had raised over $100,000 in money that will help fund teacher-requested grants, AP/CTE certification reimbursements, and rewarding all of the District’s Teachers of the Year.
