Protecting the 2nd Amendment

HB 1264 Layout in the House Committee on Elections

I had the opportunity to lay out my election integrity bill, House Bill 1264, before the Committee on Elections. HB 1264 would see that the deceased are expeditiously removed from our voter rolls. This bill will strengthen the integrity of our elections and ensure that our voting rolls are certified and verified!

ERCOT Reform Passed

The Texas House passed 7 major bills regarding ERCOT reform as one of our first priorities of the session.

Texans deserve transparency, reliability, and accountability from our state leaders and energy providers!

Protecting the 2nd Amendment

Several key 2nd Amendment protection bills have been heard in public hearings this session and on Thursday, two Constitutional Carry bills were voted out of the Homeland Security & Public Safety committee. I am committed to fighting federal overreach and ensuring that Texans who want to protect themselves will continue to benefit from their Constitutional rights as American citizens.

Dedication of State Historical Marker in Honor of Corporal Shelton

Great to join the Henderson County Historical Commission at the dedication of a State Historical Marker in honor of Corporal David Shelton and the American Legion Post No. 173. Corporal Shelton was the first Henderson County soldier killed in action in World War I. The marker was placed on the Trinity Valley Community College Athens Campus near the Adult Education/Ceramics Building. This building was the original American Legion building from its inception through 1975.

Election Integrity Meeting with Congressman Gooden

Great to see Congressman Gooden at the Capitol in Austin helping support our efforts on election integrity! We must pass legislation like HB 1264 and HB 6 ensuring that every legitimate vote counts!
