Michael “Reed” Scott Green passed away, Wednesday, March 17th, 2021, from pneumonia due to COVID-19. His parents were Colonel Lynell and Bess Green. He was born in Fort Benning, Georgia and, as an Army brat, lived in Minnesota, Colorado and Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. He later joined the United States Air Force and served for 6 years.
He had 4 children: Forest Reed Green, Ashley Scott Green, Michael Haley Green and Brittney Heather Noel Green and 6 grandchildren: Korey, Madison, Skyla, Nevaeh, Ashlin and Kayli Green.
He was married to his wife, Stephanie Green, for 20 years. He and Stephanie started an auction company and conducted an auction for Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity in 2014. In 2015, he went to work for Habitat for Humanity and had a drive and a passion for them and their mission until he died.
He was a loving husband, brother, father and grandfather and he will be greatly missed.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, March 25th, at 2:00pm, at the First Baptist Church Forney (in the Chapel), located at 1003 College St., Forney, TX 75126.
