Spay Neuter Network is distributing up to 1,000 pet treats and 500 pet toys for its 4th Annual Easter “Bone” Hunt fundraiser.
Instead of a live event, Spay Neuter Network is packing the treats and toys into “Bone Hunt” boxes that pet parents can order to create at-home Easter hunts for their dogs and cats. Every box includes an assortment of gifts from this year’s sponsors and donors.
Boxes are $25 and include a Bonus Raffle. Everyone who orders a box will get their pet automatically entered in the raffle for a chance to win a gift tin from Simply Kind Hearted, a gift tote from Naturally Fresh or gift packs from v-dog and Earth Rated.
The boxes can be ordered online in time for Easter and picked up at Spay Neuter Network’s clinics in Crandall, Dallas and Fort Worth and at Mutts Canine Cantina locations. Boxes must be ordered by March 22.
Proceeds support Spay Neuter Network’s nonprofit clinics, which empower local communities to care for pets by offering low-cost/no-cost spay/neuter and affordable wellness care to dogs and cats. Spay Neu ter Network also has a new Pet Support and Resource Center, which has helped to save more than 1,000 dogs and cats from being surrendered to the Dallas animal shelter by connecting their owners to rescue groups, foster families and other assistance.
Boxes for Dogs include a Victor’s Doggy Cookie from Alpha Paw, a full size of Squeeazables (lick-able treats) from Simply Kind Hearted, Spina Organics pet shampoo sample or conditioner, a Brutus Bone Broth biscuit, a Texasshaped peanut butter cookie from Lucky Dog Barkery, heart bites from Suzie’s Pet Treats infused with organic CBD, a gift from Specialty Treats, two SNN balls and other goodies.
Boxes for Cats include kitty boinks from Naturally Fresh, Munchables or Squeezables from Simply Kind Hearted, chicken and tuna bites from Suzie’s Pet Treats infused with organic CBD, samples and swag from Dr. Elsey’s, a SNN tennis ball, a gift from Teddy the Dog and more.
Spay Neuter Network is also hosting an Easter Pet Costume Contest on its website and its Facebook page, with a grand prize package for Best Canine Costume and a grand prize package for Best Feline Costume. The entry fee is $5, and each grand prize package has a retail value of more than $200.
Every year Spay Neuter Network spays, neuters, vaccinates and/or microchips more than 50,000 dogs and cats in North Texas. In 2019, Spay Neuter Network was able to provide 80% of its surgeries entirely free of charge and received national recognition for its work from Best Friends Animal Society. This year’s fundraiser proceeds under the guidance of interim Executive Director Victoria Cowper, following the retirement of Executive Director Bonnie Hill, one of Spay Neuter Network’s founders. Cowper is a devoted animal welfare advocate and certified animal welfare administrator with extensive experience overseeing animal welfare agencies.
