The Biden Administration has wasted no time in abandoning the America First agenda and has quickly reversed the positive economic trajectory achieved by the Trump Administration.
Despite calls for “unity” and “working together”, President Biden has not worked with Congress on any new measures and has instead used his executive powers to unilaterally and drastically alter the course of our nation. In his first six days in office, President Biden issued thirty-three executive orders – President Trump only issued four during his first week – a good indication of how Biden intends to conduct business.
On his first day in office, President Biden began the process of re-entering the same harmful international agreements President Trump worked to get us out of – the World Health Organization and the Paris Climate Accords. It is time to put America first and focus on our own ambitions instead of taking orders from international bureaucrats who wish to see us fail. Alarmingly, Biden has spent fifty years in Washington and never learned this lesson.
President Biden has also shut down the Keystone XL Pipeline and banned oil and gas drilling on federal lands. These energy opportunities not only served as a critical component for establishing American energy independence, they were also the source of tens of thousands of American jobs. Joe Biden erased it all with the stroke of a pen and paved the way to further reliance on China.
President Biden’s drastic changes to our immigration policy will pose an immediate threat to the economic prosperity, public health, and security of the American people. Caravans from Central and South America have already begun forming south of our border. The Biden administration has stopped building the wall, granted free entry for one hundred days, and is working to build an automatic pathway to citizenship for the millions of illegal immigrants already here.
From abandoning American workers, crippling our energy resources, weakening our national security, and increasing our dependence on communist China, Joe Biden’s agenda is leading us away from the America First policies we need. Texans must demand that our Representatives be bold and outspoken in standing up to the Democrats who hold the keys to our federal government. I will never back down from putting the needs of Texans and Americans ahead of Joe Biden’s backwards agenda.
