The name of Valentine represents a deeper love than just romantic relationships and a willingness to sacrifice your life for your faith and loved ones. It shows a deep commitment and love that should be valued and cherished in all forms in which it is found. We celebrate his feast day, St. Valentine’s Day, on the 14th of February, and he is honored as the patron saint of lovers. St. Valentine celebrated love in all of its forms, and inspired the romantic holiday of love today.

Teachers and educational professionals enter their profession due to the love they possess for their students and the subject they teach. Forney ISD is blessed to have many, many wonderful teachers on staff at all of the various campuses in the district. It is easy to see how these educational professionals love their students through the different grants requested for their classes. By really looking for ideas to compliment the teachings in the classroom, teachers have requested larger classroom libraries for special education elementary, ceramic kilns for middle school art classes, subscriptions to non-fiction weekly magazines for senior level English classes, autopsy mannequins for health science classes, laser cutters for wood projects for CTE classes, cooking equipment for elementary classes, and classroom sets of graphic novels for middle school.

Forney Education Foundation is happy to celebrate the love that St. Valentine represents for all the students, teachers, and para-professionals that make up Forney ISD and the Forney Family. FEF knows that the education family is very important to students’ future successes and is very proud to celebrate all of these terrific professionals.
