The holy Bible is so written so that a “saved person” can learn how to live a GODLY life studying it, but the “lost” cannot understand it because it is foolishness to them. As natural humans we rely on what we can see with our human eyes and touch with our other senses. To believe the gospel about Jesus Christ is unnatural and cannot be done without the aid of the Holy Spirit opening their understanding. That is when their decision must be made.
I have heard about people coming to know Jesus Christ by doing this. FIRST DAY, take a Bible and turn to the gospel of John, the third chapter, the sixteenth verse. Go somewhere completely alone then read the verse and ask GOD to save you. The second day, do the same thing. Be sure no one sees you or knows where you are at. On the third day do the same thing. Usually by the third day you will be serious and really want GOD to save you. Now suppose nothing happens and you are not saved. Did it cost you anything? Were you embarrassed? Did you break a leg? This is not a child’s game or a foolish thing to do. Just try it.
BOTTOM LINE: There is an old saying that if you are born once you will die twice, but if you are born twice, you will die only once…………AMEN
