As one goes through the day, there are events that appear that make you pause and think - moment or miracle? Turning down a parking lot row and finding a close parking space, getting out of your vehicle and finding a $10 bill on the ground when you have no money in your pocket, running late and the elevator opens just as you arrive enabling you to be on time. Depending on your personal outlook, these are just a moment of luck --or-- a miracle.

Many times the Board Members of the Forney Education Foundation have these moments and/or miracles happen to them when they are visiting with people who have not been introduced to the story of FEF.

I was personally explaining to a salesperson what the Foundation did for the students and teachers in Forney ISD and was overheard by the generous gentleman who owned the business. He listened, and then asked a few questions, and then offered a 25% discount for any items I purchased to decorate for our “Dallas” themed Casino Night. He had never heard of FEF before he walked by, but immediately recognized that our “WHY” could make an impact in a student’s life -- moment or miracle? I choose to think moments like these are really miracles, since they help our Forney family.

Have you experienced a moment or a miracle today? They are really all around us all the time. All it takes is a willingness to pause and be in the “moment” of life’s events -- big or small -- to really appreciate the “miracle” that living everyday actually is. When students learn from their teacher who is using a new tool that came through a grant, those are great moments and sometimes true miracles.
