The PALs (Peer Assistance and Leadership) students started a penpal program with the residents at Three Forks of Forney. This program was developed in an effort to enrich the lives of the residents that are in need of some human interaction especially since COVID has limited families ability to visit their loved ones. Currently, students are collecting items for a Winter Drive to support the residents including: new blankets, non slip socks and Kleenex. Students are already thinking about what to do for the residents during the spring semester. For example, plans for an Easter egg hunt among other things are underway! Their work is having a positive impact on the people they are serving in our community and that makes me one proud Mama Bear!
