The strike of the clock at midnight, December 31, ushers in a new year--and not a moment too soon! New chances to meet people, new chances to introduce people to the Forney Education Foundation, new memories for the students and teachers who have been awarded grants for the 2020-21 school year. The start of a new year starts new opportunities for everyone--including all the people in our Forney Family.
The Foundation would not be able to contribute to the school experience for the students in Forney ISD if it wasn’t for the support of the Forney Community. The teachers are the largest support group for FEF as they have seen first hand the different ways that FEF has helped their classes with the grants that have been requested and funded. The many individuals as well as companies that have also donated to the Foundation have made it possible through the years to do all it has been able to do for the students whether it be scholarships or funded classroom grants. The continuance of the idea that George Brown and the other Founders gave life to is very important to the Board as well as to the many wonderful donors who have made the success of the Forney Education Foundation possible. One of the most rewarding activities for the Board members is being able to share the story of FEF with new people. And many times the listeners are happy to donate to the future of Forney ISD students through the Foundation after hearing all of the ways that FEF has touched these students’ lives. Having just recently notified the teachers of the grants that were funded, the new year is indeed looking bright for the students in Forney ISD!
