Within the last two months, two local residents have claimed top prizes from the Texas Lottery. Both winners, of $3 million in November and $1 million in December, have elected to remain anonymous.
The November prize came from the Texas Lottery’s scratch ticket game, Loteria Spectacular, and was purchased in Balch Springs by a Heartland resident. The most recent big winning scratch ticket, purchased by a Forney resident from Jackrabbit Quick Stop on Broad St., was a part of the game Mad Money Multiplier. With a total of ten $1 million prizes available for this game, this payout is the third. Mad Money Multiplier offers more than $100 million in total prizes.
The Texas Lottery, which began with the first ticket sold in 1992, has distributed $66 billion in prizes to lottery players over the nearly three decades. Additionally, it has generated $31 billion in revenue for the State of Texas over that same time period. Of that revenue, the Texas Lottery contributes to the Foundation School Fund, which supports public education in Texas, as well as the Fund for Veterans’ Assistance.
The Texas Lottery provides a variety of games for lottery players. For more information on games or how funds are used, you can visit the Texas Lottery website at www.txlottery.org or find them on any major social media platform.
