Incredibly, this difficult year has been filled with many blessings. The amazing teachers and administrative professionals in Forney ISD rose to the challenges laid before them by the pandemic and soared. The students knew their teachers cared greatly about them; the response after spring break when school was to be conducted virtually was simply amazing. Many of these teachers had never taught in the virtual world but they did not let that deter them. Once the administration had crafted what school was going to be in the spring, the teachers swung into action teaching their students. And the food service department of Forney ISD also created a process for delivery of meals to the students in need.

The Forney Education Foundation has been blessed in numerous ways as well.

Even though there were no fundraisers in the spring, there were many benefactors that generously gave to the Foundation. Then the opportunity to honor the teachers in Forney ISD was a project that FEF happily took on to alleviate the different PTOs in the district since their normal fundraising activities had been curtailed. The ability to work hand in hand with all the support groups of FISD is another blessing for FEF. And this year, the Foundation was able to award the highest percentage of teacher requested grants in its history. Another year in a row that Forney Education Foundation has had its best year to date.
