This year marked the 15th annual Christmas Festival and Parade for the City of Crandall and featured a number of outdoor activities. From train rides to craft vendors, Crandall’s Hometown Christmas on December 12 had something for everyone. The main event, however, was the annual Christmas Parade. Among those featured were city representatives, the Crandall Police Department and Volunteer Fire Department, the CISD band, and Santa himself!

The day was filled with entertainment for everyone from Centerstage Dance Studio and the Crandall High School Brass ensemble. All of the local children in attendance enjoyed a day full of fun, with the most exciting part being visits and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus! And with a total of 29 vendors lining the streets, moms and dads had the opportunity to purchase craft and boutique items to finish off their Christmas shopping lists while also enjoying a number of desserts and food items.

This year’s Hometown Christmas was made possible through the sponsorship of a number of local businesses. Because of these sponsorships, this fun-filled day for local families was free to the community. The City of Crandall would like to offer a huge “thank you” to the following sponsors: 15 Rivers Ready Mix; American National Bank; Borders & Long Oil, Inc.; Brittni Jones Photography; Brown & Hofmeister, LLP; Centerstage Dance Studio; Crandall EDC; Crandall Electric and Plumbing Supply; Crandall Pharmacy; Crandall Police Department; Crandall Volunteer Fire Department; Dairy Queen; East Texas Bookkeeping & Tax Service; Forney Messenger; Greater Crandall Chamber of Commerce; Heartland Community Association; Ink It Printing; Kwik Kar Lube & Tune of Crandall; Lambeth Engineering Associates; Mark Goodman; Mesquite Plumbing; Oncor Electric Delivery; Ranger Title Company; Rusted Rail Golf Club & Events; Reborn Rust; Steve Howell Real Estate; The Meara Company; Trinity Valley Electric Cooperative; and Velvin & Weeks Consulting Engineers.

The City of Crandall encouraged all those in attendance to social distance when possible and wear masks when social distancing was not feasible. Masks and hand sanitizer were also available for the guests at the Sanitization Station. With beautiful weather for the day, the entire 15th Annual Christmas Festival & Parade for the City of Crandall was a great success.
