Thursday, December 3, 2020—Rockwall ISD announced that Thursday’s Skyline vs. Rockwall-Heath regular season final game had been cancelled due to Covid-19 issues at Skyline; both teams had already clinched berths in Dist. 10-6A Play-offs. The Dist. 9-6A Wylie at North Garland game, also on Thursday, was cancelled due to Covid-19 concerns at North Garland—Wylie had already clinched a play-off spot, and North Garland had already been eliminated; so, the game was listed as “no contest.”
Friday, December 4, 2020—NORTH FORNEY 43 over ROYSE CITY 14: Our Falcons completely dominated this game with 26 1st downs and about 500 yards of total offense, while holding the Bulldogs to 10 1st downs and about 250 yards of offense in this District 8-5A, Div. II showdown at City Bank Stadium in Forney. Ty Collins, Jacob Acuna, Jermaine Oakley, and Kam Allen had their names in the reports, but the entire Falcon team shone brightly!
Ennis was also continuing its undefeated ways with a 56—3 victory over Greenville in Dist. 8-5A, Div. II and will next face Frisco Liberty in the 1st round of the Playoffs. Greenville will take on Lovejoy in its 1st round game.
Tuscola Jim Ned pounded Pilot Point 45—28 to eliminate them in a 3A, Division I Regional Play-off.
Lovejoy spanked Frisco Liberty 31—17 to complete a “perfect” record for the regular season in a game tied 7—7 at the intermission!
Lancaster dominated W. T. White 55—3 to win the District 6-5A, Div. I title and will host a “home” Bi-District game next!
DeSoto moved on into the 1st round of Class 6A, Div. I Play-offs with an easy night against Waco 62—6, and Allen completed another undefeated regular season by downing Denton Braswell, 59—35, with a strong finish against an unexpectedly “scrappy” opponent!
Richardson Pearce, already assured of a Play-off berth, handed Irving Mac-Arthur a 58—0 dusting, and Garland Naaman Forest knocked off Sachse, 28—7. But both teams had already clinched the “play-offs” earlier!
And, finally, Mansfield Summit, by way of a 38—24 win over Birdville in the final game of the season, grabbed a 5A, Division I play-off spot by a few percentage points over Midlothian, even though Midlothian may finish with more victories (Covid Tie-Breaking System rules).
If you have perused the above article, I think you will admit that it has been “one interesting and crazy” year already—and we have more games to play!

Our North Forney Falcons are slated to play Denison, Friday @ 7:00 p. m., at City Bank Stadium. Ennis plays Frisco Liberty; Royse City plays Frisco; Greenville plays Lovejoy; South Oak Cliff plays Arlington Seguin, all on Friday night.
