A Halloween Blue Moon!

We call it a “Blue Moon” when it’s the second full moon in a month, and an October blue moon falling on Halloween only happens about every 18 or 19 years. Which means this is the first time in the history of the Forney Education Foundation to have a Halloween Blue Moon!

The Foundation is blessed to have many kindred souls in its history-- and future. The many donors that have listened to what good works FEF has done in past years providing scholarships, funding teacher grant requests, and reimbursing certification fees validate how far reaching the Foundation can be for the students and staff in Forney ISD.

Through outright donations as well as the Adopta-Grant program, the benefactors for the Forney Education Foundation have shown their faith in the ability of the Board of Directors to continue helping the students and teachers reach for the stars. And this year’s grant requests are just as amazing as the teachers who have submitted them.

Because of the many contributors to the Foundation-- and the teachers in FISD are one of the largest groups to donate every year-- there have been many wonderful grants funded through the years.
