At birth we inherit the nature that Adam received when he disobeyed GOD and ate the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. We are seeing some of that nature being poured out on cities and country today. No matter how well we were raised or how good we live we all have that nature inside of us. I always thought I was a pretty good old boy until I started reading the Bible and received the Holy Spirit when I was saved. I soon learned what all humans are capable of. Every “GOODY GOODY TWO SHOES” in the world is capable of violence when put in certain circumstances. We all try to hide our “little” fibs and shady actions. We think that they don’t really hurt anybody. LOL.

When any person accepts Jesus Christ as their personal savior they are “given” a new nature. The new nature is the opposite of the old nature. If you are going down a road and suddenly make a complete turn around and go back the other way that is what the “new nature” is like. The new nature starts with LOVE, JOY, AND PEACE and opposes everything found it the old nature.

Jesus said that many are called but few are chosen. I believe the reason for that is when a crowd of people hears the Gospel and are convicted by the Holy Spirit, a few will be sorry for their sins and turn to Jesus for forgiveness and salvation. Many will try to explain away their conviction by saying they are just as good as most Christians and have never done anything really bad. Those who accept the gospel are “chosen” and those who turn away are not chosen. When a person becomes a Christian they can see how sad it is that many are bound by the old nature and doomed to damnation of their soul.

BOTTOM LINE: There is no middle ground. It is either yes or no…..AMEN.
