Friday night, Oct. 16, 2020—North Forney Falcons defeat Forney High Jackrabbits in this year’s UNITY BOWL at City Bank Stadium after a close game into the 2nd quarter. North’s Acuna tossed three touchdown passes, and Jermaine Oakley rushed for a game high 90 yards and two 2nd half touchdowns.

The two 5A teams stood at 21—14 for the Falcons in the second quarter, but as the Jackrabbits moved to within one score, North Forney stuck the next 40 points onto their side of the scoreboard before Forney High could score again!

Rushing yardage was 241—132 for the Falcons and 229 –112 through the air, and Ricky Cortez put kick after kick through the uprights, including a 22-yard field goal.

This sends the North Forney Falcons to a shiny record of 5 wins and 0 losses as they prepare for a tough game against neighboring Crandall in Crandall next week, and the Jackrabbits seek to rebound against “highly pre-season ranked” Corsicana in Corsicana.
