“Once a Jackrabbit, Always a Jackrabbit.” In a year unlike any other, the Forney High School Jackrabbits were eager to have something closely resembling normal to celebrate. Homecoming week is historically full of themed days for the students leading up to the weekend’s festivities, and this year did not disappoint. Although we did miss out on some things like our traditional Homecoming Parade, students still participated in dress-up days at school, had the hallways decorated with their HOCO themes, and sported their Texassized mums and garters on Friday.
This year’s Homecoming Royalty consisted of 22 student-nominated young men and women. The Freshmen Knights and Dames were Jackson Sanders, Madison Triolet, Eli Benavides, and London Littlejohn. Dukes and Duchesses, Kylee Meharg, Keller Hammack, Kaleb Edmondson, and Ellie Carr represented the Sophomore Class. The Junior Princes and Princesses were Cade Cross, Rylie Tipton, Kristen Hagar, and Jakale Watson. And finally the Senior Class of 2021’s Senior Queen and King Court consisted of: Berania Sanchez, Cedron Webb, Jordan Fisher, Joey Cortez, Ellie Russell, Adam Long, Brooke Johnson, Gabe Soto, Isabella Burchett, and Rylan Byrd. The student body voted and, under the Friday Night Lights, Joey Cortez and Ellie Russell were crowned the 2020 Homecoming King and Queen.
Congratulations to all of this year’s Homecoming Royalty!
