The Forney City Council appointed a new member to Place One at their most recent meeting. James Traylor joins the Council from the City’s Planning and Zoning Commission to fill the void left by Former Council Member Mike Thomas’s resignation last month.
Mr. Traylor, who has lived in Forney with his family for nearly a decade, is eager to serve citizens in this new position. “It’s been a great journey so far, and I’m looking forward to what the future holds,” he said. After growing up in Mesquite and attending First Baptist Academy of Dallas and eventually graduating from Mesquite High School, James and his wife of 13 years, Heather, were drawn to Forney as the perfect place to grow their family and raise their four children. “Forney has great public schools and a unique hometown feel,” he remarked. “It is my goal to preserve and support that.”
