Brown, June Lilian, age 79, of Forney, Texas passed away on July 19, 2020. She was born on June 29, 1941 in Coventry, England. She married the love of her life of 30 years, James Brown on June 9, 1990. She was a faithful and active member of Mesquite Bible Church in Mesquite, Texas since 1997.

She enjoyed traveling, reading, playing Mrs. Claus, and spending time with family and friends. Her greatest God-given gift was her hospitality. Anyone who walked through the door of her home or at the church, received a big hug and wasmade to feel like family.

June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her beloved husband, James H. Brown; daughters, Karen Hinckley, Tina Helton and husband, Kevin, Jessica Pompili and husband, Matt, and Jolena Scott and husband Jason; son, Michael Brown; grandchildren, Sean, Emily, Allyson, Austin, Jocelyn, Trinity, and Madison; brothers, Alan Bird and wife, Sue and George Bird and wife, Sheila; sister, Evelyn “Ev” Gill; and a host of nephews, nieces, and loving friends. June is preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, and brothers, Alfred “Alf” Bird and James “Jim” Bird.

Funeral services were held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, 500 US-80, Sunnyvale, Texas 75182 and internment at Hillcrest Cemetery in Forney, Texas. Officiating was Pastor Thom Justice.
