City of Forney Welcomes New Fire Chief to Department

After nearly 23 years of service with the Abilene Fire Department, Derek Briggs is excited to return to North Texas to serve as the new fire chief for the City of Forney. A Lewisville High School graduate, Briggs also received a Bachelor of Science in Emergency Medical Services Administration from Columbia Southern University and went on to become a volunteer firefighter for the first three years of his career.
