Kimberly Austin and her husband James are enduring a season that parents should never even have to imagine. Their son, Eric, has liver cancer and a devastating prognosis.
In September of 2018, Eric was diagnosed with stage four liver cancer that had already metastasized into his right lung. His doctors told the family then that he would likely only have a couple more months with them. Immediately, the Austins set out to make the most of the time they had together. “We don’t have anything but time” became a mantra in their house.
