This is a “football town,” said 70-year-old Jack Pippins, a tobacco-chewing former County Commissioner, who played center and guard for the Jackrabbits back in 19-and-26 and stated proudly, “both my girls were cheerleaders.”
Football is more than just a reason to drive over to Kaufman or Kerens or Royse City on Friday night. It is a vital part of the Community; for many, it’s almost a way of life.
