The Alpha Tau chapter of DKG (Delta Kappa Gamma) Society International celebrated the “season” at their annual Christmas brunch held at Prayer Lavender Garden in Rockwall, Texas. Thirteen members visited with each other by sharing memories of “Christmases past,” and thoughts of the anticipations and plans of the Christmas festivities ahead of them. Prayer Lavender Garden was decorated with all the Holiday grandeur (like a “Christmas in the Park”) and served as the perfect place for the brunch, as members feasted upon quiche, muffins, sandwiches, lavender tea, and coffee.
The TRUE meaning of Christmas is the giving to others without expectations of receiving, as God gave us His Son—with the birth at Christmas and the crucifixion/resurrection at Easter. Alpha Tau members collected many items needed by “Still Waters,” a faithbased resource center that serves people in Kaufman County. These items were delivered along with several gift cards.
