What an incredible year Forney Education Foundation has had in 2019! The partnerships that developed over the last 12 months have benefitted not only FEF but also the students in Forney ISD. There were many opportunities for the Board of Directors to interact with the Forney Community to explain the mission of the Foundation and to answer questions about the “Why”. When we have a moment to tell about some of the grants that have been funded, or the number of scholarships given for dual credit classes, or the partial funding of CTE certification, or AP testing, the reaction is nearly always the same-- the listener’s face lights up at the realization of how big an impact a small amount of cash can make in a student’s life.
