With two lightning delays, the Forney Jackrabbits would eventually play the Sulphur Springs Wildcats at City Bank Stadium in Forney, TX. The Jackrabbits elected to receive the ball to start the game, hoping to bring the Jackrabbits to a 3-3 record. The Jackrabbits were 2-3 going into the game, as the Wildcats were 0-4.

The Jackrabbits started the game with a touchback, bringing the Jackrabbits to their own 25. Campbell Anderson began the game with a 9 yard drive and then the Jackrabbits went 3 and out and punted to the Wildcats. Sulphur Springs took over and it seemed like the Jackrabbits defense was on fire, forcing them to a 3 and out. Jayln Phillips got a lot of the action the next series, rushing for 3 yards. Unfortunately, the Jackrabbits had another 3 and out before Colby Ortega came out to punt for 42 yards. Sulphur Springs got the ball back and went 3 and out. With a Forney fumble on the punt return, Sulphur Springs got the ball in return of the Jackrabbits’ mistake. Due to penalties, the Wildcats punted and the Jackrabbits got the ball.
