#9 Ennis Defeats North Forney

As they boarded their charter buses, ready to make the hour drive down Interstate 45 to Ennis High School last Friday afternoon, the North Forney Falcons knew they would be facing their first real test of the 2019 season. After running over, through and around their first three opponents, outscoring them by a 3-to-1 margin and piling up nearly 560 total yards per game, the Falcons believed they were prepared to take on the area #9 ranked Ennis Lions.

There is no doubt about it, Ennis is a traditional football powerhouse. The tombstones that greet the home fans on their way into the stadium, detailing each of their five state championships, the last coming just five years ago, are a reminder of that. The Lions may be the biggest, fastest and most athletic team North Forney will play in the regular season.
