Molon Labe. Come and Take It. Those words have long been used by armies in declaring their defiance. It was also the challenge laid out by Forney High School last Friday night, at City Bank Stadium, as they entered the field carrying the Come and Take It flag before their annual clash with crosstown rival, North Forney.
Why not? The Jackrabbits have owned the Unity Bowl series against the Falcons, winning six of the previous seven matchups, including last year when they overcame a 15-point fourth quarter deficit for a stunning 39-35 win. Their only Unity Bowl blemish was a 49-19 drubbing by North Forney in the 2017 game.
