Any time crosstown rivals meet it is a big game. When playoff seedings are on the line, it is even bigger. Hoping to step up to that challenge, the North Forney Falcons faced off against their rivals to the south last week. With a sweep, the Falcons could move into second place in the district. Anything less would mean third place and facing the number two team in District 14-5A in the first round of the playoffs.

The Falcons’ struggles against quality competition continued in this series, as they were swept 14-11 and 10-1. The Falcons are now 6-4 and will finish in third place in District 13-5A. Their four district losses have come against the two teams that will place first and second ahead of them. The Falcons have been outscored 39-15 in those games.
