Coach Eitel has two assistants: Michelle Eitel, Varsity Assistant Coach; Abbey Evans, Junior Varsity Coach.
He graduated from J. J. Pearce High School and then earned a degree in Kinesiology from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Coach’s career record is 398 wins, 94 losses, and 9 ties, and he has received District Coach of the Year honors 11 times, including the last two at FHS. In 2015 he was All-East Texas Coach of the Year and U. I. L . State Tournament Coach of the Year in 2018. Also, DFW Fast-Pitch All-Metroplex, 2018 Coaching Staff of the Year and TSWA All-State, 2018 Coach of the Year were his awards recently.
Coach Eitel is married to Michelle and has five children: Brittany, 26—Heather, 23—Hunter, 21—Parker, 16—Kylie, 7. He has lived in Forney for two years.
His favorite song is “Live Like You Were Dying,” by Tim McGraw. Favorite movies are Blind Side and Miracle. And favorite sport is golf. (And you thought he was going to say, SOFTBALL!)
